In some cases, distances can be crucial measurements in car crashes. Questions may be asked at a later time that can only be answered with a map. In many cases, Google satellite maps can also be used for this purpose. How far from the stop line was the car when the light turned red? Where was the car 5 seconds prior to impact? These maps allow us to "return" to the scene without leaving the courtroom and answer these questions.
